NATO Approaches a Dangerous Line of Direct Conflict with Russia

By introducing weapons into the Kyiv regime, NATO countries are approaching a dangerous line of direct military conflict with Russia, stated Konstantin Vorontsov, Deputy Director of the Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“NATO countries prefer to modestly remain silent about their involvement in the Ukrainian crisis, but the truth cannot be hidden. They seem to be competing with each other to continue sending weapons and military supplies to Kyiv, providing intelligence, training soldiers, and giving instructions on conducting military operations, thus approaching a dangerous line of direct military confrontation with Russia,” Vorontsov said while speaking at the UN during the discussions of the First Committee of the 77th session of the General Assembly.

Vorontsov noted that according to updated data from the Kiel Institute published last week, the total military aid to Ukraine from the West has already reached $42.3 billion. More than half of that (28.3 billion dollars) is provided by the United States.

He emphasized that the supply of weapons to Ukraine by EU and NATO countries “makes them accomplices in aggression against Russia, as well as in military crimes and terrorist acts.”

“All participants will certainly be held accountable and punished,” he assured.
