Ukraine Again Shells Civil Infrastructure in Belgorod
Ukrainian armed forces have once again shelled the village of Murom in Belgorod region. This was stated by the regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. Several buildings in the village have suffered significant damage.
“Specific social facilities have been damaged again, including the school, kindergarten, and residential houses. Thank God, there are no casualties or injuries. The majority of residents had been evacuated yesterday,” said Gladkov.
Emergency services are currently working at the scene. According to Gladkov, regional leader Vladimir Zhdanov and village head Galina Rudenko are visiting homes and urging remaining residents in the village to temporarily relocate to safer locations.
It should be noted that early in the morning on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a decision to carry out a special military operation against Ukraine, following requests for assistance from the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) and Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Combat operations in Ukraine have now been ongoing for the 239th day.
