Numerous Expired and Moldy Food Products Discovered

According to the "Food Safety Law," "safe food products" must maintain the consumer properties presented on their labeling, and upon expiration, food is considered dangerous and unsuitable for its intended use. The municipality reports that dangerous food products are subject to recall and must be removed or destroyed according to established procedures. However, some business operators, ignoring the law, continue to sell products without proper expiration date labeling or those that have exceeded their expiration dates.

This information comes from the Yerevan City Hall. Thanks to the diligent work of employees from the City Hall's Trade and Services Department, violations have been noted in the food safety sector among three operators.

Numerous expired, unfit, and moldy products were discovered. Administrative offense reports have been compiled, and the offenders will face administrative liability.
