Winter Draft and Demobilization Deadlines Announced

The winter draft deadlines have been announced. The project is included in the agenda of the government meeting today, according to Tert.am.

The government of the Republic of Armenia has decided to declare the winter draft of mandatory military service and alternative services for male citizens of the Republic of Armenia from October 24, 2022, to January 31, 2023, inclusive, for those whose 18th birthday falls on or before December 31, 2022, as well as for those whose deferment from mandatory military service ends on or before December 31, 2022.

Within the framework of the 2022 winter draft, soldiers who have completed mandatory or alternative military service will be discharged in accordance with the deadlines established by law by March 31, 2023, inclusive.

Those who have completed alternative labor service will also be released within the established timeframe.

The replenishment of the armed forces subject to mandatory military service or alternative military service within the framework of the 2022 winter draft will be carried out from January 9 to January 31, 2023, inclusive, and the discharge of soldiers who have completed mandatory military service or alternative military service will take place from February 8 to March 31, 2023, inclusive.
