The Era of 'Security Dream' Successfully Concludes

Starting today, the electronic control system for traffic regulations—speed cameras and monitoring devices previously leased to a private company—are being returned to the Police of the Republic of Armenia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced at a cabinet meeting, 'We are returning this to the public administration sector; a state non-commercial organization has been established in the police, and starting today we have fully undertaken the handover process.'

Police Chief Vahe Ghazaryan also stated that the management of the system is now being carried out by the newly established state non-commercial organization. 'The handover process will be completely finalized in the next couple of days. Moreover, 99 percent of the employees from 'Security Dream'—451 employees—have been reassigned to continue their work at the state organization,' the police chief noted.

It is noteworthy that the decision to create the 'Center for Management of Electronic Surveillance Systems of the Police' was adopted during a cabinet meeting on July 14, 2022. On that day, Pashinyan declared, 'The era of 'Security Dream' is successfully concluding.'
