Putin in an Incredibly Difficult Situation, Says Biden
US President Joe Biden believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is currently trying to intimidate Ukrainians and force them into capitulation. He made this statement on October 19, as reported by the White House website.
Biden's remarks came in response to a question about Putin's declaration of martial law in the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as well as in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
“I think Vladimir Putin is in an incredibly difficult situation, and it seems to me that the only tool available to him is brutal treatment of the citizens of Ukraine to make them capitulate. They are not prepared to do that,” said the US president.
It is noteworthy that on September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed agreements on the inclusion of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, into the Russian Federation in the Kremlin’s George Hall.
