‘This is no joke’: Ara Shahverdyan on Iran's military exercises near the Azerbaijani border

The Islamic Republic has repeatedly issued necessary warnings that it will not tolerate geopolitical changes near its borders. This was stated by Ara Shahverdyan, the representative of Tehran and the Armenians of northern Iran in the Iranian Parliament, on his Twitter account.

“The current exercises involving the transfer of equipment across the Aras River show that these are no joke, and all options for protecting national interests are being considered,” noted the Armenian MP.

It is worth mentioning that during the “Power” exercises being conducted by the ground forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps along their northwestern borders, methods for installing bridges over the river and transporting military equipment across them have been developed.
