Talks of Opening Turkish Embassy in Brusov University Building are Irrelevant: Arnak Avetisyan
The discussions about opening a Turkish embassy in the Brusov University building are irrelevant. This was stated today, on October 19, during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly by Arnak Avetisyan, the head of the State Property Management Committee.
“The government currently has no plans regarding the Brusov University and other university buildings, and no actions are anticipated in the short term. There are certain strategic goals outlined in both the government program and the action plans announced by government members. However, there are no specific plans related to specific university buildings. Most university buildings are considered state property, and they have been granted for use to universities for the purpose of carrying out certain activities,” said Avetisyan.
He noted that there are no short-term goals regarding property management at this time. When asked if there are any restrictions on using state property as an embassy, Avetisyan stated that there are no such restrictions.
Addressing questions regarding the use of state property for business purposes, Avetisyan said, “There is nothing outrageous or unacceptable about using buildings for business purposes; that is to say, if there are vacant buildings, the government and the State Property Management Committee will consider the optimal options for the further use of these properties, including sale, lease, transferring to other organizations, and so on.”
When asked if there are any Turkish and Azerbaijani citizens who have acquired state property in Armenia, Avetisyan replied that there are none.
