David Keosayan Has Passed Away; Margarita Simonyan Writes a Post

Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of Russia Today, announced on her Telegram channel that David Keosayan, the elder brother of television host Tigran Keosayan, has passed away. David Keosayan, a director and screenwriter, was 61 years old.

“I had never known another person so bright, free, and in love with life... Tigran's elder brother, his only real brother. He is no longer with us,” Simonyan wrote.

The cause of death has not been disclosed.

David Keosayan was also an actor. His works include the films “The Crown of the Russian Empire, or Once Again, the Lost Ones” and “Oryol is Crying Somewhere.” He directed three films: “The Mistress,” “Three Half Graces,” and “Love on the Edge of a Knife.”
