Ukraine is De Facto a NATO Member, Says Ukrainian Minister of Defense

Ukraine is de facto already a NATO member, stated the country's Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov following a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

“I thank NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for supporting Ukraine. We have come a long way and have effectively joined the alliance,” noted the minister.

According to Reznikov, Ukraine is already contributing to the security of the “free world.” He expressed confidence that “successful reforms will open new horizons for the country.”

After his meeting with Reznikov, Stoltenberg announced, “NATO countries are increasing support for Kyiv. Ukraine must win in the conflict with Russia.”
