Grandchildren Use Grandparents' Cards for Online Shopping: Prime Minister Pashinyan Comments on Refund Policies
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Narek Mkrtchyan, presented the volume of cashless transactions resulting in refunds for pensioners and beneficiaries at the government meeting.
According to the minister, compared to June, these volumes have tripled. “In September, approximately 1.2 billion AMD worth of cashless transactions were registered, which means that in the near future, 120 million AMD will be refunded to pensioners and beneficiaries,” he stated.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that in June, there were almost no cashless transactions made by pensioners. “Now, when we want to analyze the two hundred, we understand that grandchildren have seized the opportunity and made purchases from international systems using their grandmothers’ and grandfathers’ cards. I remind grandmothers and grandfathers that in this case, there will be no refund,” he emphasized.
