Oil Leak Detected in Pipeline Supplying Germany

On the evening of October 11, Polish operator Pern's automation systems detected an oil leak in one of the two lines of the "Friendship" pipeline's western section, approximately 70 kilometers from Plock.

"This is the line through which oil is supplied to Germany. The causes of the incident are currently unknown, the damaged section of the pipeline has been shut down, while the second line operates without changes," the company reported.

The remaining elements of Pern's infrastructure, including the section transporting oil to Germany, are functioning as planned, Interfax reported.
