“Mom dear, I will definitely come, I will hug you, don't worry.” Relative of missing soldier talks about the boy's call
Conscription soldier Vahe Torosyan, who is currently considered missing, called his mother on September 14 and said, “Mom dear, I will definitely come, don’t worry, I will hug you, I will be with you.” This was shared by their close friend, Rouzanna Karapetyan, during a protest in front of the Ministry of Defense.
“May God keep us away from wars; I never imagined we would have to feel all this on our own skin. Suddenly, on the morning of September 15, he called his mother, and all he managed to say was, ‘Mom dear, wait, listen...’ and then the connection was lost. In these 25 days, his mother has become like a 70-year-old woman. She just wants her child; she doesn’t want anything else. We can take drastic steps as well; we can block the roads in the Armavir region if it comes to that, the whole village and region are ready. We have 11 servicemen from our village, Lusagyugh. All these children are ours. For me, today, the church is ‘Yerablur.’ We know that our child is wounded in several places. How much longer can he endure, or is he enduring? What should we tell his mother? Every day she asks me, ‘Rouzan, is my son alive?’ I say, ‘Yes, how can he not be, he is resilient, he will endure; don’t worry.’ How can I tell her that maybe he won’t endure?” she said, adding that when he called, Vahe was already wounded.
It is noteworthy that the relatives of the missing soldier, conscription soldier Vahe Torosyan, are holding a protest near the Ministry of Defense. They state that Vahe Torosyan has been missing since September 13, and while the relatives know the location, the Ministry of Defense has said that Azerbaijan is not allowing them to approach that area.
