A Document Allegedly Regarding Agreements Between Armenia and Azerbaijan is Circulating
Pro-Russian channels have been circulating a document for several hours that supposedly outlines obligations stemming from trilateral negotiations. Former Member of Parliament Anna Costanyan from the "Enlightened Armenia" faction made a statement regarding this matter.
She notably wrote: "We remember that on September 27, at the initiative of U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, Armenia's National Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan met with Azerbaijan's presidential assistant Hikmet Hajiyev at the White House. According to this circulating document, an agreement has been reached whereby Armenia and Azerbaijan must complete negotiations on a peace agreement by the end of the year, finalize the delimitation process, and Azerbaijan must appoint a representative to engage in discussions with a representative designated by the ethnic community of Artsakh regarding the rights and security of Artsakh's citizens. This implies that Armenia is completely and finally leaving Artsakh and its residents to resolve their issues alone.
This document effectively means a complete exclusion of Russia from the Armenia-Artsakh processes in the region and entirely cuts Armenia off from the further developments regarding the Artsakh issue. If this document truly exists, the entire Armenian nation must express its position—are we in agreement with the total capitulation imposed on Armenia and the complete separation of Artsakh from Armenia, or can we find the will and courage within ourselves to say no to this destructive policy imposed by the current authorities? This is the last phase of the disaster imposed upon us; whether we will exist as a dignified nation or not depends on each one of us."
Auroranews.am is attempting to contact relevant Armenian state agencies to obtain information regarding the circulating document. We will report as soon as we receive any updates.
