Armenian Peacekeepers Participate in International Exercises
The Armenian peacekeeping unit is participating in international exercises at the training center of the U.S. Infantry units located near Hohenfels, Germany, which are preparatory phases for a mission in Kosovo. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
To monitor the training and exercises on-site, the commander of the Armenian Defense Ministry's peacekeeping brigade, Colonel Arsen Mangasaryan, visited the center and met with the head of the planning and control department of the center, Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Fronhoef, and the commander of the U.S. Army’s 76th Infantry Brigade, Colonel Chris Mabisi.
During the meetings, the U.S. military officials noted the high level of preparedness and discipline of the Armenian unit. An agreement has been reached to expand the participation of Armenian peacekeepers in the international exercises.
