A Close Associate of Putin Engaged in a Heated Argument with Him, Peskov Comments
The press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, has categorically denied claims of a split within the inner circle of President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by TASS.
“There are working disputes about the economy, the course of the special military operation in Ukraine, and educational system discussions. This is a normal part of the working process, and it is not a sign of any split,” Peskov emphasized while commenting on an article published in The Washington Post.
Moreover, the press secretary of the Russian President noted that disagreements and debates do occur within the leadership of Russia on certain key issues.
“Some believe we should act differently. However, this is a normal part of the working process,” Peskov stated.
Earlier, The Washington Post reported that a close associate of President Vladimir Putin, whose name has not been disclosed, had engaged in a heated argument with him during a conversation, directly pointing out the errors of the army in Ukraine and the reasons for the failures. This individual expressed concerns during a tense conversation with Putin about the shortcomings in the performance of army leaders and the mistakes made by generals during the “special military operation.”
