Russia is not fighting against Ukraine; Ukraine is merely a tool. The aim of the United States and the entire West is to annihilate Russia. This statement was made by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia. The information was relayed by RIA Novosti.

He elaborated that Ukraine is a technical instrument, and its citizens are "expendable material in the theater of military operations chosen by the West." At the same time, Medvedev emphasized that Russia will continue to liberate territories occupied by neo-Nazis.

“Regardless of what our enemies are trying to do today, and what their puppets in Kyiv are saying, these are now new subjects of the Russian Federation. We will defend the people on our land who have entrusted their fate to us,” he stated at a party’s Supreme Council.

“Our country has confidently chosen its path and will not deviate from it. All objectives set by the head of state to protect our citizens and our territories will certainly be realized,” Medvedev concluded.
