EU Countries Prepare New Sanctions Against Iran for Suppressing Women's Protests

Some European Union countries have prepared proposals for sanctions against Iran in response to the alleged suppression of women's protests. The proposed sanctions include a blacklist of 16 individuals and organizations. This is reported by the magazine 'Der Spiegel', citing diplomatic sources.

According to the publication, the initiators of the restrictions are Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, France, and the Czech Republic. They hope that a decision on new sanctions at the EU level will be made on October 17 during the foreign ministers' meeting of the union.
