There Are Officials Without Higher Education Who Earn Millions, Says Taguhi Tovmasyan

In various communities and during several meetings, I interacted with a number of teachers. People are bewildered. Why is the Prime Minister of the country questioning the quality of their education? This was noted by MP Taguhi Tovmasyan on her Facebook page.

“Teachers spoke with great enthusiasm and pride about how their educated generations are courageously standing firm in defense of the homeland's borders and noted that they will continue their patriotic duty by educating the children living in border communities until the end,” Tovmasyan wrote.

“From these conversations, it became clear that many teachers’ salaries do not even exceed 70,000 AMD, yet they uphold the status of the teaching profession and approach their professional duties with great responsibility.”

“Now a major question arises: what should teachers in the regions do if Nikol Pashinyan's government offers them such low salaries? Should they stop working, which means children in villages will grow up uneducated, or should they work for such low wages, accepting that they themselves lack quality education, which is why they receive low pay?”

Nikol Pashinyan has targeted specific groups with his statements, which is unacceptable. In villages, people are forced to work for much lower wages because they have no alternatives.

P.S. When Nikol Pashinyan talks about education, he should start with his own team and entourage. There are deputies and officials who do not even have higher education but earn millions,” wrote Tovmasyan.
