Nikol Pashinyan on the Issues of Shovels, Shoes, and Tractors in the Armenian Armed Forces
There are no issues regarding shovels, shoes, or tractors in the Armenian armed forces. This statement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a broadcast on Public Television, addressing the problems observed in the army following the 44-day war of 2020.
“I summoned a meeting at the Ministry of Defense regarding these publications, which was not covered in the news. The purpose was clear: I know that the Armenian army should have no issues with shovels, shoes, uniforms, excavators, or tractors. I inquired if these problems exist, and we confirmed that they do not,” noted Pashinyan.
According to him, significant engineering work has been carried out since the 44-day war in 2020. The Prime Minister stated that during the provocation on September 13, 2022, the Armenian army stood firmly in its defense positions. However, he acknowledged that the forces were unequal.
Pashinyan also mentioned that he has instructed to clarify what young people are collecting in the streets and for what purpose. It is worth noting that following recent Azerbaijani aggression, many young individuals have been gathering dry food, essential items, medications, and cigarettes to send to the front lines.
