Iran Promises to Avenge Terrorist Attack
The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, has vowed that the IRGC will take brutal revenge on the terrorists responsible for the attack in Zahedan, according to the Mehr news agency.
In his message, Major General Hossein Salami expressed condolences for the members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Basij who lost their lives as a result of the recent terrorist attack. He described the attackers as mercenaries of foreign intelligence services.
It is reported that the armed attack on a military base in Zahedan, the capital of Iran's southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province near the borders with Afghanistan and Pakistan, resulted in the deaths of 4 people, including security forces personnel, and injured another 22, including civilians.
