‘I received a horrifying video last night’: Deputy Editor of Le Figaro reports footage being verified
The Deputy Editor of the French magazine Le Figaro, Jean-Christophe Buisson, stated on his Twitter account that he received a horrifying video yesterday evening showing how Azerbaijani soldiers execute several Armenian prisoners of war.
“I received a horrifying video last night, which shows Azerbaijani soldiers executing several Armenian prisoners of war at close range. This new footage of Azerbaijan’s military crimes is being verified by international media outlets and authorities,” wrote Buisson.
A terrifying video depicting the execution of four unarmed Armenian POWs by Azerbaijani soldiers is circulating on Telegram channels. Previously, Toivo Klaar, the EU's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, stated that if this video is proven to be authentic, it constitutes a war crime that must be investigated, and those responsible should be punished.
As previously reported, on September 28, starting from 18:00, the Azerbaijani armed forces began shelling Armenian positions in the eastern direction of the border with mortars and large-caliber artillery. The Armenian side responded with countermeasures. Later, the Ministry of Defense reported that by 22:00, the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border had stabilized relatively. Due to the Azerbaijani provocation, three Armenian servicemen were killed.
