Australia Imposes New Sanctions Against Russia
Australia has imposed additional financial sanctions and travel bans on 28 Russians connected to referendums in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions. This was reported by Australia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry labeled the referendums as illegitimate and lacking legal force.
“These sanctions demonstrate Australia’s strong disagreement with the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as those who carry out his orders,” said Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong.
