Russian President Vladimir Putin announced in a speech at the Kremlin's Georgievsky Hall about the inclusion of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions into the structure of the Russian Federation. According to Putin, the people have made a clear choice through referendums, and agreements will be signed regarding the acceptance of four new territories into the Russian Federation.

"This is the will of millions of people," emphasized Putin. He stated that the residents of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions are becoming eternal citizens of Russia.

"We will ensure the security of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions, and we will help restore the infrastructure. Russia will never betray the residents of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions," said Putin.

It is noteworthy that the leaders of the DPR, LPR, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions arrived at the Kremlin to sign agreements on joining Russia. Earlier, from September 23 to 27, referendums were held in the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions concerning joining Russia. According to the results of processing 100% of ballots in the DPR, 99.23% voted in favor of joining Russia, in the LPR - 98.42%, in the Kherson region - 87.05%, and in the Zaporizhzhia region - 93.11%.
