VIDEO: If a person earns 75,000 drams a month or is unemployed, it means they have not received an education, says Prime Minister

If a person works for a month and earns 75,000 drams or is unemployed in Armenia, it means they have not received an education. Of course, there are cases where a person is unable to work.

This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the start of today’s government meeting. During the government session, Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan presented that the draft budget for 2023 plans to raise the minimum wage to 75,000 drams.

In this regard, Nikol Pashinyan said: “If a person earns 75,000 drams a month, let’s understand what that means: it signifies that they have not received a proper education. It is important to note that this is not only about higher education but also vocational training. This is an important observation and evident, which is often overlooked.”

Pashinyan also added that their aspiration is not for people to work for a month and earn 75,000 drams, and that this contradicts their views.
