Video: Hundreds of Millions of Dollars Paid, Yet Allies Fail to Deliver Weapons, Says Pashinyan
Yesterday, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces carried out another provocation in the southeastern section of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, attacking our engineering work with strikes. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mentioned this during a cabinet meeting before the agenda was addressed.
He noted that this is yet another manifestation of Azerbaijani aggression. “The engineering works were being conducted within Armenian territory, and the Azerbaijani units that carried out the strikes were also located within the territory of the Republic of Armenia. This is a continuation of aggressive actions and aggression; Armenian territory is occupied. Our position is unequivocal and indisputable: the Azerbaijani Armed Forces must withdraw from the territory of the Republic of Armenia,” he stated.
The Prime Minister said that a large-scale process of reforms in the Armed Forces has been created, and Azerbaijan is attempting to provoke in such a way that Armenia cannot implement these reforms. “Azerbaijan unfortunately has certain successes in terms of relations with our allies and wherever possible, they try to ensure that weapons and military supplies do not reach Armenia. We have cases where hundreds of millions of dollars have been paid, but the supply obligations toward Armenia are not being fulfilled, including by allied countries,” he said.
Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that all of this is happening with the single aim of forcing us to abandon our statehood, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to make concessions. “But I want to emphasize that despite all provocations, we are determined to defend our independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and glory to all the heroes standing in defense of Armenia’s sovereignty and independence,” he concluded.
