State Duma to Hold Extraordinary Session to Approve Decision on Annexing Territories to Russia
On October 3, the State Duma will convene an extraordinary session to make decisions regarding the referendums held in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. This was announced by Vyacheslav Volodin, the chairman of the lower house of the Russian Parliament.
It is expected that the Federation Council will approve the decision the following day, on October 4.
According to the Russian side, around 90 percent of participants in the referendums voted in favor of joining Russia. Ukraine, the USA, the West, and Turkey do not recognize these referendums.
