VIDEO: A Citizen Subject to Mobilization in Russia Shoots the Head of the Military Commissariat, Arrested

Shooting occurred at the military commissariat in Ust-Ilimsk, Irkutsk region of Russia. The head of the draft committee, the military commissar, was injured. The young man who opened fire has been detained.

It is reported that before shooting at the military commissar, Zinina stated, "Now we all will go home." Zinina, 25 years old, was supposed to be mobilized today.

The injured Eliseev is currently in the hospital, and doctors are fighting for his life.

A criminal case has been initiated concerning an attack on a law enforcement officer's life and illegal circulation of weapons, according to a statement from the regional chief prosecutor's press service.

"The suspect is a 25-year-old local resident, against whom a criminal case has been initiated for ‘assault on a law enforcement officer’s life’ and ‘illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, or carrying of firearms, essential parts of firearms, and ammunition,’" the agency stated.

The weapon did not belong to the young man who fired. The press service noted that investigators and forensic experts are currently working at the scene. The suspect is being interrogated, and the motives for the crime are being clarified.
