Turkish Journalist Accuses Azerbaijan

Turkish journalist Uzay Bulut recalled a 2017 article published in CNBC titled "Azerbaijan Accused of Creating $2.8 Billion Secret Bribery Fund to Pay Off European Politicians."

He wrote on his Twitter account, "Is this the reason why many European politicians maintain a deadly silence when the Azerbaijani dictatorship invades Armenian lands and kills Armenians, as well as their dissenting Azerbaijanis?"

It should be noted that the investigation revealed that Azerbaijan's ruling elite had managed a $2.8 billion slush fund for two years to pay European politicians and cover expenses for luxury purchases. The secret fund, dubbed the Azerbaijani laundromat, operated for two years until 2014.
