Parents Advised to Call the 'Hotline', MoD Representative Talks to Families

A representative from the Ministry of Defense spoke with parents gathered in front of the Ministry. “We were told to wait, ongoing search operations continue, and if there’s any news, we will respond. My son, soldier Samvel Atanyan, was only 2 months into his service. He was taken to Nerkhin Hand on September 12 for engineering work. Since then, there has been no news about our boys; the last time they were seen, they were doing construction work. We are being told that there are fatalities and injuries,” said Hayk Antanyan.

According to Atanyan, the division commander is alive, but no one has met with them or provided updates to the parents. He noted that the parents have only managed to speak with a forest ranger.

Another man stated that the Ministry of Defense advised them to call the 'Hotline' for information.

Recall that following the recent Azerbaijani aggression, relatives of missing servicemen held a protest near the Armenian Ministry of Defense building.
