Massive Protests Held Against Protest Actions in Iran
In recent days, massive protests have taken place in various cities of Iran against organized protest actions in the country. According to IRNA, thousands of citizens in Tehran condemned the destructive actions of the protesters against public property and emphasized the need for decisive measures against those who violate public order.
It is worth noting that in recent days, thousands of people have taken to the streets in Iran to express their outrage over the death of Mahsa Amini, who was arrested for improperly wearing a headscarf. The protests have resulted in casualties and injuries.
The European Union has commented on the ongoing protests in Iran. Josep Borrell, the head of EU diplomacy, called the use of disproportionate force against protesters by the Iranian authorities unacceptable. In a statement issued by Borrell, Brussels expects Iran to clarify the number of casualties and detainees and to free peaceful protesters.
Borrell also emphasized that the killing of Mahsa Amini must be properly investigated, and those responsible for her death should be punished. The police report states that 22-year-old Amini died of a heart attack, while her family maintains that the girl had no health problems.
