Jermuk Health Resorts Have Not Operated Since the First Hours of Military Operations

Jermuk Tourism Development Center reports: “The cable car, hotel, and treatment center in Jermuk have been damaged, and an ambulance has been targeted. Since September 13, Azerbaijani armed forces have been firing intensively in the directions of Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk using artillery and large-caliber firearms. The enemy has also deployed strike drones.

The first strike by Azerbaijani forces on the city of Jermuk targeted the cable car. Following that, attacks were directed at military units, their warehouses, and all areas near the city. Due to Azerbaijan's aggression, hotels, health resorts, the cable car, and the building of the firefighting and rescue team have also been affected in Vayots Dzor. Personal vehicles and other properties of residents were damaged as well.

At the time of the enemy's attack, hundreds of foreign tourists were present in the city's health resorts. The hotels managed to organize an efficient evacuation. The health resorts in Jermuk have not operated since the first hours of military actions.”
