Death Toll Rises to 15 in Izhevsk School Shooting, Including 3 Teachers

Three teachers have died as a result of the shooting at School No. 88 in Izhevsk. This was announced on Monday by Sergey Kravtsov, head of the Russian Ministry of Education, as reported by Kp.ru.

Kravtsov stated that the fatalities include three female teachers who taught English, mathematics, and art. “Today, a tragedy occurred; children have died, and three teachers have lost their lives—one in art, one in mathematics, and one in English,” the minister was quoted by RIA Novosti.

As a result of the gunfire at the Izhevsk school, the condition of 12 injured individuals is assessed as serious by doctors. It is noted that on the morning of September 26, a man stormed into School No. 88 on Pushkinskaya Street and opened fire on teachers and students. At that time, about 900 students and 80 teachers were present at the school.

The Investigative Committee has reported that the death toll has reached 15, with 11 children and four adults among the deceased.

Law enforcement agencies have determined that the shooter is a graduate of the same school.
