Armenia Has Handed Over Two Kurdish Revolutionaries to Turkey, Who Were Fighting Against Turks, Says MP
MP Arthur Khachatryan from the 'Hayastan' faction of the National Assembly has made a statement.
“Kurdish sources report that Armenia has handed over two Kurdish revolutionaries to Turkey, who were waging armed struggle against the fascist regime of Turkey. This is the same Turkey that has perpetrated genocide against Armenians, has been blockading Armenia from the West since 1993, has always pursued anti-Armenian policies in international arenas, provided Azerbaijan with Bayraktar drones, military consultants, mercenaries, and intelligence during the 2020 44-day war, and whose general staff effectively directed the war against Armenia. And today, the Armenian authorities are handing over Kurdish fighters to the same enemy, Turkey. I cannot say much publicly, but for 30 years, the Turks have repeatedly demanded the handover of Kurdish fighters who found themselves in Armenia for various reasons, and they have always been denied. Today, in the era of Armenian-Turkish romance, the situation has changed.
In 1999, during the Greek-Turkish rapprochement, the Greeks handed over Ocalan to the Turks. They later realized how wrong they were and how the Turks deceived them. The Velvet authorities learn nothing from their own or others' mistakes. This is the kind of humiliation we are enduring...
The Kurdish People's Protection Units (HPG) have issued a statement accusing Armenia. The message specifically states that the Republic of Armenia has violated its own laws and international laws by transferring two members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (KPP) to Turkey.
It is noteworthy that Atilla Cicek and Huseyin Yıldırım were charged on August 16, 2021, for illegally crossing the border of the Republic of Armenia via the Araks River and for smuggling weapons and ammunition.
