Video: We Went Laughing to the Investigative Committee, Khachatryan Clarifies

Arman Antonyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council from the ‘My Step’ faction, has accused opposition council members Ani Khachatryan and Tehmine Vardanyan of organizing an assassination attempt against him. This statement was made by Khachatryan during today’s council session.

“We were summoned to the Kotayk Investigative Division, and we went there laughing. For us, this is truly ridiculous,” said Khachatryan.

Vardanyan, in turn, stated that they were called in for questioning because during their last meeting, she told Antonyan, “Antonyan, you will come to the meeting with round eyes and ask why there are violations against the city council.”

The council member is outraged that he was invited not to the Yerevan division of the Investigative Committee, but to Charentsavan, and he spent an entire day explaining the situation.

“Mr. Antonyan, unlike you, I do not suffer from the syndrome of idleness. Focus on serious matters, go swimming, engage in sports, or finally try embroidery or tapestry,” he said.
