VIDEO: What Does Jermuk Look Like Today After the Azerbaijani Attack?
The first strike on civilian infrastructure targeted the Jermuk cable car. In an interview with News.am, the director of the community cable car, Armen Tadevosyan, recounted that the first hit occurred just minutes after the cable car was closed, and a worker miraculously survived. "The first strike on the city was on the cable car. After that, it hit the military base, the military base's warehouses, and all nearby areas of the city. There have been further strikes on the cable car at intervals. Specifically, the cable car was shelled with large-caliber mortars. They definitely targeted the cable car, likely thinking it is a strategic, dangerous structure, because from the top of the cable car, the area they have currently invaded is visible," he noted.
