VIDEO: Parents of Fallen Soldier Remove Wreaths Brought by Pashinyan and Others from Yerablur
Parents of fallen soldiers today, on September 21, removed and tossed away wreaths placed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and other officials at the "Yerablur" pantheon. One of them said, "This 4 square meters is ours, don't come here, we have said and are saying again—no matter the authority, don’t come to our sacred site. It’s an insult to come here pretending to be concerned over the graves of our boys who fought for our future."
It is noteworthy that since early morning, a significant police presence had been concentrated around the "Yerablur" military pantheon. Starting from 6 AM, there were numerous security personnel present. Red and black berets formed a chain around the area. At some point, the red berets began forcibly detaining parents of the fallen soldiers, including women, who came here to prevent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from visiting "Yerablur" in connection with the Independence Day celebrations. The police also obstructed the work of reporters and cameramen, pushing them away from the church area of "Yerablur."
