Russian Peacekeeping Force Commander Discusses Control of Lachin Corridor
On September 21, the leaders of the factions in the Artsakh National Assembly met with the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces, Major General Andrey Volkov, in Artsakh.
Emphasizing the role of the Russian peacekeeping mission in ensuring stability in the region, they discussed the current situation and possible future developments in the region.
The meeting addressed various issues faced by the public concerning the newly operational route of the Lachin Corridor. The commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces assured that the safety of the corridor is entirely under the control of Russian peacekeepers and that existing issues will be resolved alongside the completion of current construction works.
The necessity of frequent communications in different formats was highlighted during the meeting, which is expected to provide solutions to the concerns troubling the community.
