Details on Gunfire at the Border and Injured Soldier
On the evening of September 20, gunfire from Azerbaijani armed forces towards the village of Srashen in the Syunik region resulted in one injured soldier on the Armenian side. The information was confirmed in an interview with Nеws by Khachatur Baghdasaryan, the administrative head of the nearby village of Nerkhin Hand, who added that the injured person sustained light injuries.
The wounded individual is from the Union of Volunteer Fighters. This information was also confirmed in a conversation with the media by the spokesperson for the UVC, Lilia Poghosyan.
"He is continuing to receive treatment, and his condition is assessed as normal," stated Poghosyan.
It should be noted that the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Aram Torosyan, addressed reporters today, September 21, regarding the injury caused by gunfire in the direction of Srashen, saying that, "In case of being injured by enemy fire, the ministry issues a statement." The Ministry of Defense reported yesterday that on September 20, Azerbaijani military units periodically violated the ceasefire regime by using small arms in the eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
