Armenia Presents New Evidence to International Court

On September 19, the Office of the Representative of Armenia on International Legal Matters submitted a letter to the International Court of Justice on behalf of Armenia, detailing ongoing violations by Azerbaijan of the Court's provisional measures order of December 7, 2021, in the case concerning Armenia v. Azerbaijan under the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination. The letter included further evidence of violence against Armenian prisoners of war by Azerbaijan and the desecration of fallen Armenian soldiers, highlighting the case of David Gishyan, an Armenian POW subjected to torture and murder under Azerbaijani control. Additionally, the letter presented illustrative examples of widespread anti-Armenian hatred in Azerbaijan and reiterated Armenia's urgent request for the Court to reconsider its provisional measures order.
