Video: Actor and Director Sergey Puskepalis Dies in Car Accident

Actor and theater director Sergey Puskepalis, artistic director of the Fedor Volkovo Russian State Academic Drama Theater, has died in a car accident. This was reported on September 20 by RIA Novosti, citing its sources.

"Yes, according to preliminary information, he has died," said the source.

According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the accident occurred around 11:00 AM Moscow time in the Rostov region, at the 201st kilometer of the M8 Kholmogory highway, where a Ford transit collided with a truck.

"As a result of the accident, two people have died, and one person has been hospitalized. Employees of the traffic police, investigative-operative group, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working at the scene. All circumstances of the incident are being clarified," stated the ministry's press release.

"They came from there and left a little earlier or a bit later, at the same time—military commander and musician Akim Apachev, military commander and poet Anna Dolgareva, poetess Anna Reviakina from Donetsk, friend of Donbas and artist Sergey Puskepalis, buddy. Sergey Puskepalis played over 60 roles, including lead roles in the series The Fierce Alex (2019), And in Our Yard-2 (2019), and Shifer (2019, 2020), as well as in the drama The Edge (2020). In 2015, he directed the film The Clinch.
