Papikyan Discusses with Colin Kahl

On September 15, Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan had a telephone conversation with Colin Kahl, the U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Policy.

Suren Papikyan informed Colin Kahl about the situation arising from Azerbaijan's large-scale aggression, emphasizing the necessity for the international community to provide timely assessments regarding the resolution of the situation.

The Defense Minister expressed gratitude to Colin Kahl for the swift response to the circumstances.

Colin Kahl, in turn, underscored the importance of maintaining the ceasefire and highlighted the need to return to the negotiating table, resolving all existing disagreements solely through diplomatic means.

Colin Kahl also stated that the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Armenia should not be subject to negotiation.
