Iran Accumulates a 40,000-Strong Force on the Armenian Border: Nayiri Hoxhikian
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran has amassed a force of approximately 40,000 troops on the Armenian border, declaring that it will not allow an attack on the territory of the neighboring country. This was reported by analyst Nayiri Hoxhikian on his Facebook page.
“At the same time, the Iranian side notes that Turkey has also deployed 45,000 soldiers near the Armenian border,” wrote the analyst.
Earlier, Sputnik Armenia, referring to 'certain unofficial sources', reported on its Telegram page that “the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is deploying tens of thousands of troops to the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Armored units of the Iranian Islamic Republic’s army have also been stationed at the border.”
