UN Security Council Meeting on Armenia Scheduled for Tomorrow
The UN Security Council (UNSC) meeting regarding the situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is scheduled for September 14. This was reported to TASS by a source within the organization.
"Yes, the discussion is set for tomorrow," the agency's interlocutor stated.
Earlier, Armenia sent a letter to France, the current president of the UNSC, requesting an emergency meeting. It is worth noting that earlier, the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported that since midnight on September 13, Azerbaijani armed forces have been shelling Armenian positions located in the directions of Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk, using artillery and drones.
The ministry has stated that there are casualties and injuries on the Armenian side. In the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that there are 49 casualties from the Armenian side, while the figures are not final.
