Emergency Meeting Held in CSTO to Discuss Situation on Armenian-Azerbaijani Border

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) held an emergency meeting during its permanent council session today, discussing proposals for the potential activation of mechanisms for the resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border situation. This was reported by TASS, citing CSTO press secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov.

“On September 13, an emergency meeting of the CSTO Permanent Council was convened at the initiative of the Armenian side, with the participation of the leadership of the CSTO Secretariat and the Chief of the Joint Staff, Lieutenant General Anatoly Sidorov. The council members expressed extreme concern about the current situation and discussed proposals for the possible involvement of CSTO mechanisms for resolving the situation,” the statement said.
