France Will Continue to Provide Short-Term Visas to Russian Citizens
France will continue to provide short-term visas to Russian citizens; however, the visa fee will increase, reports the republic's embassy in Moscow, according to Kp.ru.
"France will continue to grant short-term visas. The conditions for obtaining short-term visas are changing: the visa fee will rise from 35 euros to 80 euros for everyone. The processing of visa applications may take up to 45 days, and those wishing to obtain a visa are advised to consider this timeframe when planning their travel," states the diplomatic mission's website.
It is noteworthy that today the European Union has completely suspended the visa facilitation agreement with Russia, which was in effect since 2007. The general rules for visa issuance will apply to Russians — the fee will be 80 euros, and additional documents will be required to obtain a visa, while the processing time will increase.
