Grandmother and Grandson Suffer Gunshot Wounds; Police Provide Details
The Police of Armenia has clarified the details of an incident that occurred yesterday evening in Yerevan, which resulted in a grandmother and grandson being hospitalized with gunshot wounds.
According to a statement issued by the police, it has been determined that the 25-year-old grandson accidentally fired a pistol of "Makarov" type, which was kept illegally, resulting in a bullet wounding his own abdomen, and subsequently injuring his 89-year-old grandmother's leg as well.
The firearm has been confiscated. An investigation is underway.
It is noteworthy that on September 9, at 19:15, the hospital reported that an ambulance crew had transported a 25-year-old male and an 89-year-old female to the medical facility with gunshot injuries from an apartment on Manandyan Street.
