Fire in a House in Lori Province: Body Discovered on Kitchen Floor
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reports that a fire broke out in a house in the village of Akhori, Lori Province, resulting in the death of an 84-year-old homeowner.
On September 8, at 08:27 AM, a call was received by the Lori Regional Crisis Management Center regarding a fire in a two-story house near the football field in Akhori village. Two firefighting units from the regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene.
It was established that the fire had started in one of the one-story houses on 5th Street of Akhori village. The blaze was contained by 09:25 AM and extinguished by 10:01 AM. Rescuers discovered the body of a citizen, identified as V.P. (born in 1938), on the kitchen floor. The fire damaged the kitchen (approximately 8 square meters), about 7 square meters of the living room, and approximately 12 square meters of the roof area, as noted in the released statement.
