Azerbaijan's Supreme Court Releases 4 Armenian Prisoners of War

Azerbaijan's Supreme Court has reduced the sentence of four Armenian prisoners of war, as reported by Sputnik Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani media outlets indicate that part of the Baku appellate court's decision regarding the Armenian prisoners from November 26, 2021, has been amended.

Their imprisonment term has now been set to 1 year, 8 months, and 25 days, resulting in the court deeming their sentence completed, leading to their release.

The names of the prisoners have not been disclosed.

Earlier, Azerbaijani media reported that Baku would transfer five Armenian prisoners of war to Yerevan today. The Armenian side has not yet issued any statement confirming or denying this information.
