How Much Do Rescuers Earn in Armenia?
On August 19, Auroranews.am sent a request to the Ministry of Emergency Situations to inquire about the minimum, average, and maximum salaries of emergency service employees as of 2022. We also requested information regarding the frequency and amount of bonuses and incentives.
In response to the inquiry, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that as of 2022, the minimum salary for a rescuer in the Ministry of Emergency Situations (including taxes) is 170,788 AMD, the average is 273,458 AMD, and the maximum is 1,875,150 AMD.
After taxes, approximately 60% of rescue service employees earn 125,000 AMD, 30% earn 198,500 AMD, while 10% receive 1,392,000 AMD. Bonuses are provided to employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on a monthly basis, amounting to 25% of their official salary rate. Thus, around 60% of rescue service employees, with bonuses, receive a net salary of about 155,000 AMD.
We also inquired whether the ministry is planning to address the issue of salary adjustments for rescuers, given the challenging nature of their work. However, this query remained unanswered.
